Welcome to Lifting Stars Veterinary Homecare

Offering humane, compassionate in-home pet euthanasia in Metro Vancouver

What We Do

Compassionate Mobile Euthanasia Across Greater Vancouver

We humans love our animal companions infinitely. All that love brings joy to our lives, but it also makes it so hard when the time comes to say goodbye. Dr. Jeff Berkshire and the team of veterinarians at Lifting Stars Veterinary Homecare are lifelong pet owners who have experienced that same joy and companionship, and that same sorrow of letting go. That’s why we believe in bringing end-of-life care and consultation to the place where you, your family, and your pet feel the most calm, secure, and comfortable — your home.

Our caring team provides euthanasia and cremation services centred in respect, dignity, and compassion. At a time when you need it most, we offer gentle, comforting, unhurried care that guides and supports you and your family members through a difficult experience. No one can make this moment easy, but we can help make it more peaceful and meaningful for you, and more comfortable for your beloved pet.

Reach out to us with your questions or to book a quality-of-life consultation or in-home euthanasia appointment. We will come to your home in Vancouver or across most of Metro Vancouver. You can find our service map at the bottom of this page.

Our pets can’t stay with us forever, but our love for them can. The animal friends we’ve lost remain in our hearts, as eternal as “the soft stars that shine at night,” as the poet Mary Elizabeth Frye wrote.
