Teddy

November 2024

Teddy was one-of-a-kind. Afraid of the cardboard roll from paper towels, but not buses nor horses. Smiled at visitors when they arrived. Loved to take us for walks so that he could sniff every single thing on the walk. Loved the beach, to dig there and nowhere else except in his crate, to climb on things, like sofas, chairs, tables, to sit partway up the stairs and spy out the dining room window. Wasn’t very interested in other dogs; we were his pack. Snugly in the morning and at night, Ted had other priorities in the daytime. Sometimes we would find him sitting and… meditating? We think so. He left us very suddenly; a huge hole in our lives. We still feel his presence in the house and out in the neighbourhood. Thank you Ted. We were fortunate to spend our lives together.
