Dr. Susan Malone

Veterinarian

Dr. Susan Malone is a long-time resident of Vancouver’s North Shore, with roots in Red Deer, Alberta, and Kelowna, British Columbia. Her passion for veterinary medicine was evident from a young age, volunteering at the SPCA and working in small animal clinics during her formative years.

She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, following a Bachelor of Science at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. Dr. Malone practiced at the former Capilano Pet Hospital for eight years before becoming the owner of Lynn Valley Veterinary Clinic. After years in general practice and clinic ownership, she transitioned to veterinary home care, finding it a privilege to assist families and their beloved pets during end-of-life journeys in the comfort of their homes.

At home, Dr. Malone enjoys the company of her two teenage daughters, three cherished cats named Bowie, Quincey, and Moz, and her lively young Labrador, Leonard. In her leisure time, she can be found trail running in the North Shore mountains year-round and boating in Howe Sound during the summer months.
