Millie

January 2025

Two months ago I lost my best friend when Millie transitioned to dog heaven with the support and assistance of Lifting Stars. She wasn’t an old dog at only 4 years of age, but her last few months dealing with brain cancer were very hard for her and us. Millie came to us as a rescue puppy from Mexico and it took her some time to get used to a number of things in Canada such as grass, cars, rain and snow. She decided she really didn’t like car
rides, rain, and especially salt on the sidewalks when it snowed, and although she would tolerate a sweater, she really disliked wearing coats for the weather! She loved the beach, the forest at Pacific Spirit Park, 100% cooked meat of any kind, her doggo friends, and her human family and friends. She was also the best cuddler on the couch or curled up on our laps in the armchair. We miss her every day and will love her forever.
Lifting Stars are clearly specialists in end of life care and they did their very best to make Millie’s transition and truly difficult life event pain free, peaceful and loving. Blessings and gratitude to Lifting Stars for helping us.
