Maddie has been working in veterinary care for almost four years, starting her career as a receptionist in a small general practice. From a young age, she knew that animal care and wellbeing were her passion. A grade school field trip to Island Veterinary Hospital in Richmond, BC, further solidified her dream of working with animals. Years later, she reconnected with the clinic’s manager—who had been an RVT during that field trip—and began her first job in the veterinary industry there in 2022.

Maddie joined Lifting Stars in July 2025. She completed the Veterinary Assistant program at Granville College, where she met Katy Agnew, one of her instructors, and continues her education in the Veterinary Technician Program at Douglas College. Outside of work and school, Maddie enjoys spending time with her energetic Pitty mix Chi, exploring new places around Vancouver, and sharing moments with friends and family.
